Part #(MCC0647) Installation tips: MCC0647 bracket installs just as your factory bracket mounts. Due to minor variations in factory/aftermarket tolerances on intakes and water pumps mounting holes it is recommended that you install all bolts loosely and then tighten bracket in place evenly. Material Chrome steel , triple plated Copper / Nickel / Chrome Bolts  MCC0647 Bracket Does Not come with mounting bolts Thickness Upper bracket is stamped from approximately .100 thick steel. Mounting MCC0647 upper bracket mounts to the front of the intake and the mounting ear on the water pump Length of mounting arm Approximately 4 3/4 (slotted) Water pump MCC0647 bracket is for big block Chevrolet engines with long water pump  and will mount the alternator on the passenger side of the engine just as the factory brackets do. Application For 1965 thru 1990 396 - 427 - 454 with a long water pump and the alternator mounted on the passenger side.
