MCC0039    5/16 Valve Cover Bolts

MCC0039 Specifications

Material : Chrome steel , triple plated Copper / Nickel / Chrome with black oxide steel studs

Height : 1 1/4 inches tall not counting removable threaded portion

Head size:  7/16 hex head top

Thread count : 5/16 x 18

Length of threaded portion : 1 1/2"

Quantity : 1 each ( Order 8 with Pontiac engines & 10 with F E  Ford engines )

Application : Pontiac ( 326 350 400 428 455 )  Ford F E  ( 352 390 427 428 428 ) engines require 5/16 x 18 valve cover hardware

Installation : Remove threaded portion , install into cylinder head with a screw driver , install gaskets then valve cover over studs, next install chrome portion over stud . Tighten to torque spec with 7/16 socket or wrench .

Comments:

Use MCC132B If you need these same bolts in 1/4 X 20 ( Most all other muscle car engines use 1/4 )

Use MCC197 If you would like 5/16 X 18  T - handles instead use MCC197

For  valve cover spreaders to go with your bolts use MCC198 spreaders ( Pontiac only )
