Part #(MCC430) Installation tips: Make Sure you have clearance for the alternator in your vehicle in the location this bracket mounts the alternator and be sure to measure accurately for your belt length as this bracket has only a small amount of adjustment .     Material Chrome steel , triple plated Copper / Nickel / Chrome Bolts  MCC430 Bracket Does Not come with mounting bolts Thickness Upper bracket is stamped from approximately 5/16 thick steel. Mounting on Small Block MCC430 bracket mounts to the two lower power steering mounting holes on the drivers side of the engine on small block Chevy applications NOTE: make sure your vehicle has the room to mount the alternator in this location ( most common problem would be contact with the K member on some cars) Mounting on Big Block   MCC430 bracket mounts with one bolt in the lower bolt hole in the cylinder head on the drivers side of the engine and one in the upper hole located in the block mounting the alternator at approximately the header height on Big Block Chevy applications NOTE: make sure your vehicle has the room to mount the alternator in this location Water Pump MCC430 bracket is for small & big block Chevrolet engines with short water pump and will mount the alternator on the drivers side of the engine .
