Part #(MCC581) Installation tips: MCC581 bracket installs just as your factory bracket mounts. Due to minor variations in factory/aftermarket tolerances on intakes and water pumps mounting holes it is recommended that you install all bolts loosely and then tighten bracket in place evenly. Material Chrome steel , triple plated Copper / Nickel / Chrome Bolts  MCC581 Bracket Does Not come with mounting bolts Thickness Lower bracket is stamped from approximately .185 thick steel. Mounting MCC581 lower bracket mounts to the mounting ear on the water pump Length of Bracket Approximately 5 7/8" Water Pump MCC581 bracket is for Small Block Chevrolet engines with long water pump  and will mount the alternator on the passenger side of the engine just as the factory brackets do. Application For 1969 thru 1986 327 350 383 400 with a long water pump and the alternator mounted on the passenger side.
