Thickness: These valve covers are stamped from approximately .040 thick steel.
Application : Generally all Small Block Chevy's from 1959 -1984
Valve Covers : This set is a short (approximately 2 1/4" tall) They WILL clear factory air conditioning brackets. One valve cover has one1 1/4" hole in it for accessories. The other valve cover has one hole 1 1/4" and one for a twist in oil cap use mcc220 sold separately They CANNOT be run with aftermarket roller rockers
Baffled : YES, these valve covers come with steel baffles in each ( not in oil cap hole)
Gaskets : NO, these do not come with gaskets, Any Quality gasket made for your small block Chevy will work on these valve covers
Valve Cover Accessories : Hold downs, breathers, PCV valves, mcc220 etc. DO NOT come with the valve covers but can be located on the left side links on this page and purchased separately . Each valve cover has 4 mounting holes so you will need 8, bolts or spreaders etc. when ordering for this set
Restrictions :Will NOT work on early 283's with staggered bolt pattern or late model 1986 & up with center bolt style valve covers
Installation tips : When tightening your valve cover start on the low side and tighten in a cross pattern to the correct torque spec . Do not over tighten the valve covers when installing them!
